Celebrating Our Anniversary

Anniversaries are special dates in my mind. They mark achievements in our lives, milestones, celebrations of times in our lives we want to remember and savor. One year ago this month this blog began. Just the creation of this blog was something of a celebration itself. A celebration of the diversity of the romance community, of the authors writing in it and the readers who enjoy it. The blog has been successful and prolific as it is varied. We are a group of authors who write in very different styles, categories and subgenres, but who are all part of the same community-- Romance. We celebrate love in all its forms; from cowboys and spies to aliens and vampires, (and throw in a dash of M/M loving, as well, in all those subgenres). We do it with stories of lust, love, redemption, and mystery, and tie it all up in a Happily Ever After bow. Real life may disappoint, but romance never does. At least not the way we envision and write it. *g* So let’s celebrate the anniversary of this blog, the achievement of making it our first year goal of bringing our readers some of our thoughts on writing romance, and mark our special month as the hallmark it is. Let’s raise our virtual glasses and toast our readers! Thank you for letting us share a piece of ourselves with you each month. You are the reason we writing in the first place. Celebrate!

Hi Laura,
Thank you for your contributions along the way! One of the joys for me this past year has been starting my mornings by reading the blog. It isn't always my 'job' to do it because Sarah and I trade off the admin duties so when its my week off, I still start my day reading the blog because I'm always curious as to what the Genre-istas have to say.
on my 'off days'

I may be a writer but I'm a reader too and I've learned so much about the various sub-genres in Romance!

Another day of Celebration! has started.
