July is a great month to drive to NYC

Vivienne Lorret

I'm so excited about this month! The RWA National Conference is right around the corner. My oldest son and I are driving to NYC for the week. For me, it's a time to reconnect with fellow authors and to feed my muse, not to mention a mother/son bonding time as he nears the end of his college career and embarks on a new life. For him, however, it's all about seeing New York. :)

More July news...

The third and final book in The Rakes of Fallow Hall Series just came out Tuesday!

Lucan Montwood has been with us since book 2 of The Wallflower Wedding Series, Winning Miss Wakefield. He appeared again in Finding Miss McFarland (book 3), not to mention, in the first two of The Rakes of Fallow Hall Series: The Elusive Lord Everhart and The Devilish Mr. Danvers. Now, it is finally time for his story.

Frances Thorne can handle anything—except losing her position, her home, and her father to debtor's prison all in one day. So when a generous offer of assistance falls into her lap, she's grateful for a second chance, even if it seems too good to be true. The last thing she needs is for the charming, infuriating—maddening—Lord Lucan Montwood to stand in her way.

The end of the bachelors' wager is near, and Lucan Montwood can taste victory—just so long as he can stay away from the one woman who sees through his façade. Yet when he learns that Frances has been caught in an insidious trap, Lucan can't deny that he will do anything to help. Convincing her to trust him is the hard part, resisting her is next to impossible, but falling in love with her? That may be far too simple.

I loved writing Lucan and Frances' story!

Conference time is almost here. I hope to see you in NYC!

Have an awesome time in NYC! What fun to travel with your son and experience the city that never sleeps together! I went to one of the RWA conferences in NYC. My two girl friends and I spent 10 days there and enjoyed every minute. Good luck on sales!

I can only imagine what a fun time you'll have traveling with your son and attending RWA Nationals in NYC! I'll have to pop on my Kobo and order up this series (yes, I'm one of those who likes to purchase the series at one time and then read them back-to-back).

Looking forward to reading your "tips for writers" next month to see if it is something you've learned along the way or perhaps something you picked up at RWA!

Thank you, Diana, Judith, and Sarah! I'm so excited about this trip to NYC! My son already has a list of the places he's going to go without me. Lol. Number one on my list is Central Park.

Diana, 10 days in NYC? Wow! Sounds like a blast!

Judith, I hope you enjoy the series. <3 I'll be sure to fill a notebook on all the "tips" I learn at the conference.

Thank you, Sarah! I hope you enjoy Lucan and Frances' story. <3
