Isolation 2020

by Diana Mccollum

I'm writing a short blog today as I've already written two different blogs and both got lost in cyber land!

I was working in Word and my Apple phone rang and so does my Apple computer and I don't know what happened, either computer or operator error but document disappeared.

I'm wondering what everyone is doing during this time of isolation.

Me, I've been taking a long walk everyday with my husband. Some mornings have been 28 degrees, but we go because this is our only time out of our house and off our property.

We are ordering our groceries and supplies from Instacart.com, and they are delivered to the front porch. Husband has compromised lungs so he can't be out in public, and I don't want to be exposed any more than I have to, because I might bring the virus home to him.

I've been working on craft projects. Here's my most recent one:

I've also been doing a lot of baking, cleaning, making masks, and talking to friends on Zoom and the phone and email. Which has been nice. Some friends and I had not connected in a very long time.
Reading is an excellent way to relax and relieve anxiety. In case you haven't read "Love & Magick", it is on sale through the end of April for $1.99, available at all e-book outlets.

Anthology Stories:

ONCE UPON A TIME……in worlds where talismans wield power, spells enslave or protect and troublesome ghosts are captured for humane relocation, three intrepid authors spin mystical stories of romance. Alongside strong, daring heroines you’ll fall in love with an enchanted prince intent on holding onto his humanity, a tough cowboy who has locked away his wounded heart, a spirit-hunting geek whose motto is Ghosts Are People, Too! and three more irresistible heroes.

"Love & Magick", Mystical stories of Romance, contains six unique short stories.

"Enchanted Protector"  by Sarah Raplee

"Curse of the Neahkahnie Treasure"  by Sarah Raplee

"Grandmother Moon"  by Judith Ashley

"Sarah's Ankh"  by Judith Ashley

"The Crystal Witch"  by Diana McCollum

"Ghost of a Chance"  by Diana McCollum

"Love & Magick" is on sale at your favorite e-retailer.

What are you doing for to keep busy during Isolation?

Love the picture of you muffled up against the cold!

What am I doing? Taking short walks each day, reading, connecting to friends and family which means learning more about how to effectively use Zoom.

I'm thinking after reading your post, I'll add rereading "Love & Magick" as I enjoyed Sarah and your light paranormal romance stories. Sarah's "Curse of the Neahkahnie Treasure" is a sure delight for fans of the t.v. show "The Curse of Oak Island"!

Glad you're safe at home, Diana. I am writing, reading, cooking, taking walks, and watching a lot of PBS shows. The Great British Baking Show is my current favorite. :-)

Stay healthy!

I am deep cleaning in slow motion (a little each day), playing backgammon with my husband, playing Words With Friends with my sister and a friend online, reading, and connecting with/checking on family and friends via phone, text and video calls. I'm so glad everyone is staying home and staying safe!

Love! Love! Love the picture of you bundled up against the cold. I hope that some of the sunshine and higher temperatures we've had are making there way to you now. Great that you and your husband find time to walk every day. We try to do the same but haven't always made it for a variety of reasons. The table you painted looks amazing.
