Like now - I'm sitting in a restaurant, waiting for my BFF and writing buddy to arrive for a day of chat and writing. I'm so thankful that Melbourne is finally out of lockdown and we can be back in restaurants and back with meeting up with friends.
I've just had a hot chocolate and a couple (ok 4!) macarons - such abundance. I can have a hot drink when I want it, and delicious biscuits (as many as I want).
Later I'm going to a bookshop where, no doubt, I'll browse the hundreds of books on offer and spend quite a few dollars to indulge myself. Again, such a little thing but such a privilege. Such abundance.
I will go home, the home I fully own, where it's warm and newly renovated and where I have a secure roof over my head - so much more than so many in the world and even in my own home city.
While I'm not sitting down to a big turkey dinner with pumpkin pie and all my family, I did have a delicious pesto gnocchi and macarons with my bestie - and today, like every day, I'm thankful for all that I have.

Andra, Your day with your bestie sounds like heaven to me! You definitely have an abundant life and it's wonderful to learn about it. It is getting together with friends easily and especially writing friends that I have missed the most during the pandemic. But slowly we are also coming out of lockdown and making time to get together. I even attended a conference the first of October. Very monitored, all masked, [roof of vaccine required. It was both exhilarating and scary. Scary because it felt so strange to be around so many people at once.
I hope you have many more opportunities for getting together with friends, and continue to find your life full of abundance.
I agree with you Andra, abundance is so much more than Food! What a lovely day you had! A daily practice of Gratitude really does make life better...even when all does not go as planned.
I enjoyed your post and your visit and lunch with your BFF sounded wonderful!
You've got the right idea. Andra. There are so many things to be thankful for!
Great post, Andra. Your day spent with a writing buddy sounds like the best. I was lucky enough to spend a month in Australia in the nineties and loved every minute. One of the best holidays I have ever had. Your country exudes abundance and friendliness.
