It’s Romance Awareness Month!
Romance is in the eye of the beholder, whether we’re experiencing it or reading about it.
Maybe you want your romantic partner to give you flowers
Or a walk on the beach
Or a night in the city
Or simply a shoulder to lean on.
It’s all part of romance!
What does romance mean to you, or what do you love to read about in a romance novel?

I've been in "rereading mode" recently - a way to thin out my "keeper shelves" if I don't finish the book or can't imagine rereading it again in the future. While romance is an integral part of the stories I'm reading, what is determining whether I finish it or keep it is the relationships between the various characters...beyond the main characters.
In real life? Romance can be as simple as peacefully sharing space knowing that it is shared with that someone special. It isn't so much what we do together, it is much more the connection, the knowing that if something is wanted or needed, the other person is "there".
Good way to re-read books, Judith. I also find that it's the characters and relationships that make me think of of the book after I've read it.
Yes, that connection, knowing you can count on the other person, is so powerful.
