What the Dickens!

By: Kathryn  Hills

I’m so excited to be here today! Hello, and thank you ALL for having me. And thanks to Marcia King Gamble for the invitation!

I love this time of year. The “ber” months are my favorites. This November, I’m a very grateful author because my third Dickens Holiday Romance, STAGING CHRISTMAS, is being released soon. It’s #24 in the wonderful multi-author series set in the fictional small New England town of Dickens.

Have you ever been to Dickens? Welcome back if you have. If you haven’t visited, it’s time you did!

Welcome to Dickens… Where Love Is Always in Season!

Discover the quaint New England town bustling with excitement and anticipation for the holiday season. There is an abundance of heartfelt wishes, a few much-needed miracles, and—quite possibly—a touch of holiday magic. Families reunite, new love connections are made, and old flames take a second chance at finding happiness. All while celebrating the most joyful time of the year!

Here’s a link to the entire series - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NX3BQWT

And here’s a bit about my upcoming story, STAGING CHRISTMAS!

A comeback queen with a tarnished tiara. A computer nerd in over his head. All it takes is a car crash, a rescue dog, and a century-old ski lodge to make them believe in holiday magic.

Kendall Worthington lands herself on the naughty list the moment she crosses Dickens’ town line. No one anticipates a car accident. But leave it to her to wreck a local woman’s car. Not just any car. A wedding present from the lady’s beloved groom. It’s no surprise since Kendall considers herself cursed when it comes to love, romance, and all things weddings. After all her own nuptials disintegrated. Now she’s sworn off men—especially rich, entitled men—and relocated to the place known for its holiday cheer to start over as a single, independent woman.

Jamie Frisk knows all about challenges, the latest being how he’s going to pay off the astronomical mortgage on the mysterious Dickens landmark he purchased on impulse. What’s a software engineer going to do with a massive, fixer-upper like Iron Gate Lodge? Open it to paying guests again? His family thinks he’s crazy, and he’s beginning to agree with them. Thankfully, he’s got one very special woman with a flair for staging a comeback on his side.

Amidst all the spackle and paint—plus a hefty dose of holiday hijinks—these misfits manage to breathe new life into a place steeped in a legacy of love. Could they possibly host a wedding by Christmas? Working together they might just pull it off. And, with the help of Dickens’ magic, they may even fall in love along the way.

This book = Sweet / Holiday Romance / Romcom / Contemporary Romance / Small Town Romance

There’s a preorder sale happening now for just 99 cents! Release Date: 12/13/2023

I sure hope you’ll join me and discover what holiday magic happens for Kendall and Jamie at The Iron Gate Lodge. Psst…It’s very romantic! Funny…and even a little bit spooky. In a Christmassy way, of course. 😊

Thank you again for having me. Wishing you ALL the very best this holiday season!

Kathryn, Thank You for joining us. What a fun story. And looking at your photo, I'm wondering if it was taking at The Iron Gate Lodge. IMHO if anyone finds love and romance amidst all the spackle and paint, it's sure to be real and last forever.

Judith Ashley...hahaha...That's the plan for them, but boy was their restoration/renovation adventure fun to imagine and write. I do love places like the fictitious Iron Gate Lodge. Places with a past and just a hint of spooky mystery. Plus, a timeless romance. *le sigh* The photo was actually taken in my SIL's home. A very old New England home, which I adore. Thanks for reading and commenting. Happy holidays!
