Hi, I’m Judith Ashley, author of The Sacred Women’s Circle series, soul nourishing romantic women’s fiction with light paranormal elements. My stories show you what life could be like if you had a place like The Circle where you are unconditionally accepted, supported and loved. And where, with this support, you make choices to overcome the darkest nights of your life to choose love and light.
At midnight
on May 1, 2011 Romancing The Genres (RTG) was born. Our last original content
will go live at midnight, May 31, 2025. I’ve bittersweet feelings about moving
forward in my life without RTG as a constant. And those bittersweet feelings are contrasted with a plethora of happy ones.
As you read blog posts this
month you’ll learn what the Genre-istas and our most supportive guests are
going to do in their futures. Do check out each one as some of us are doing ‘giveaways’
to commenters or people who sign up for our newsletters.
One thing on my list for the
future is to figure out what to do with the time spent learning the technology
of blogging, supporting our Genre-istas and guests and writing own blog posts.
I’ve written over 150 posts these past 14 years!
Here’s what I’ll be up to:
~ relaunching my Judith
Ashley blog
~ finishing two books (one
non-fiction and one fiction) that I started and then Life intervened and …
well, I stopped writing except for the most part blog posts
~ teaching through classes
and more blog posts the concepts of Dr. William Glasser. I’ve been officially involved
with the work of Dr. Glasser since August 1978 when I attended a Basic Intensive
Week training, the first step towards Certification in the concepts of Reality
Therapy, Choice Theory and their application in our lives.
For those of you who have
heard of or know about Dr. Glasser, you’ll see bits and pieces of his theory in
my fiction books. My non-fiction Staying Sane in a Crazy World
is a blending of the wisdom of The Serenity Prayer and Glasser. In these
challenging times, Staying Sane provides
you with your own Personal Staying Sane plan.
Last but not least I will
continue to have my JudithAshley.net
website. I love clicking on the link and seeing the
Home Page. Not that the other pages aren’t good, they are. The images on the
Home Page are awesome. Yes, I do like a bit (or a lot) of bling.
You can get
the link to download a free copy of Staying Sane in a Crazy
World by leaving
your email address in comments (as well as any comment you’d like to share). By
doing so, you are giving me permission to add you to my mailing list. At best my
mailings are bi-monthly and at worst sporadic. Plus you can always “unsubscribe”
if you’d prefer not to hear from me in the future.
You can find my books at your favorite e-book vendor as well as through my website www.JudithAshley.net and Windtree Press. Print books are available at Jan’s Paperbacks in Hillsboro, OR and Arte Soleil in Portland, OR. Their addresses are on my website. And be sure to ask your library if you’d prefer to read my books through that resource.

It's been a fast 14 years! Looking forward to seeing all that you will accomplish without herding the authors on this blog.
It's a bittersweet moment reading your last post. I appreciate all you've given to RTG and the Genreistas, and wish you the best of luck in the future. Enjoy the next chapter in your life, Judith!
14 years flew by! 14 yrs ago we were getting ready to move to Oregon and the blog started.
Now we're back in CA and the blog is ending.
Good luck in the future whatever it brings you. You have been an awesome blog queen. It's been great working with you and Sarah.
Judith, I'm so happy you are going to finish some writing projects and continue your Glasser work. Letting go of RTG is difficult, but change is inevitable. Working with you and the Genre-istas has been amazing!!!
Congratulations on 14 years of a successful blog! And Happy Moving On!
Thanks for commenting, Paty. I also look forward to what the next phase in my life will be. It seems to be changing a bit from day-to-day as the vagaries of life flow around me. I do know I will always be writing something! Next big project is the Windtree Press Anthology story.
Lynn, I've found that many of life's moments are bittersweet when really looked at with a full lens. My oldest great granddaughter celebrates her 10th birthday (sweet) and she is growing up so fast and lives so far away (bitter). One thing RTG has reminded me is that my day, my world works better when I focus my attention on the "sweet" piece. Thank you for being a part of the journey for 12 years.
Diana, I'd forgotten the connection between your moves from and to California coinciding with Romancing The Genres' beginning and ending. You can add OG to your signature line if you want ... Original Genre-ista
Sarah, I'm not sure you knew when you posted that request to meet up with someone to talk about writing all those years ago that our friendship and Romancing The Genres would have been the result...or and publishing "Love & Magick" with Diana. I remain ever so grateful you did post it, that I read it and actually responded.
Thanks Barbara, The "Happy Moving On!" is the important part and, for me, makes the closing down of original content here easier.
