Meet Amber Scott

Hi, I'm Amber Scott and I...talk to myself.

Sure I named my muse, Milla, and call my inner critic Charles, but really, these split personalities are me. All those characters sitting around my mental waiting room are just me, too.

With all that wild conversation going on, it’s no wonder I burn dinner!

I started writing romance novels during my first born’s ‘nap-ortunities’ and fell in love with the whole business. Right down to what font works best on a title page.

I grew up primarily in Reno, NV but defected to the Valley of the Sun in '99 and only occasionally look back.  Usually only in September when living in the oven finally wears me down.

I'm a multi-genre author.
Last year, I finally learned to embrace the fact that my muse likes jumping genres, from paranormal to historical to comedy to screenplays, and we've been getting along famously since. Milla is really good at putting Charles in his place, even about his dislike in my choice of shoes (flip flops again?).

My addiction to chocolate gets me through the rough times along with my husband and two young ones who have learned to share me with imaginary people.

Thankfully, though, all this talking in my head makes for some hot, fun, adventurous reads!

Amber,
Good thing we're writers. We have an excuse for all the voices we hear in our heads.
Chocolate is good as is having Milla and Charles in your life...
oh,yes and family who understand you.

You really caught my attention when you mentioned chocolate. If there were no chocolate or coffee, I really don't know what I would do:) Hope those voices in your head continue!!

You named your muse? That's great! And I love the notion of a muse powerful enough to put the critic in his place ... that's what all writers need.

Wow! the Phoenix area is hotter than Reno...of course it is. When I first read that I was thinking of Las Vegas...nope, Reno would be cooler Vegas not so much.

Hey! I talk to myself, too! I love that you've given your different "personalities" names! lol! I'll have to think about that.

I talk to myself too! So much, in fact that I really need to invest in a Bluetooth solely so I can run in the park or walk the dog without people thinking I'm nuts! LOL!

Thanks for all the comments, everyone. Yep, the voices and the chocolate are here to stay.
Speaking of chocolate, I should have stocked more easter chocolates. I'm nearly all through them and it's a looooong time til Halloween.
