Celebrating Life

Has one year passed already? How time flies when you're having fun. This year has been full of highs and lows within our society. We've had some amazing people who have given us advancements in technologies, music and film pass and leave a hole behind. I'm sure it was the same in the the decades and centuries of past.
The biggest year in the Victorian period that changed the course of our society was 1861. In December of 1861, Prince Regent Albert passed away after a bout of Typhoid Fever. Queen Victoria was devastated. She locked herself away for a full year in mourning. Their love for each other has always inspired me. She even spent time before her Golden Jubilee having breakfast before the celebration at his resting place.
I, myself, couldn't ever imagine my life without the love of my life, my husband. Every year we celebrate in little ways. A private dinner, a movie, an outing with the kids. A couple years ago we even renewed our vows. I strongly believe that the good things in our lives should be celebrated, even it's just a special dinner with family, friends and loved ones.

What do you do to celebrate the joyish moments in your life?

I do many of the same things you do, Mae. Sometimes I take alittle time off to savor the moment and send up a little prayer of thanksgiving.
