Sexy road-trip romance, Drive Me Crazy
Caution! Dangerous curves ahead. Do not enter if you might be spooked by haunted hotels, embarrassed by sex in the great outdoors, or fear you might yield to a devastating Frenchman willing to drive you to distraction.

I needed a vacation. People tend to ask where a writer gets the idea for a story. With Drive Me Crazy, it was the all-consuming desire to get the heck out of dodge. Don’t we all want to make a break for it sometimes?
And so I let my characters run away from their real life responsibilities. Xavier willingly took a holiday, but Jaime needed to have no other option. I dropped them into situations that brought out their darkest insecurities, secret fears, and thrilling experiences, all of which cemented them together.
In the end, memories are all we have. I think that’s why family relationships run so deep. We have more shared memories with family than most anyone else. And when we find someone we want to build a life with, making memories are those bricks that keep us together.
Pardon me for seeming serious and introspective. Our pup is sharing his last weekend with us. He’s been such a blessing to our family, and I’ve truly treasured all the lessons he’s taught me.
I’m making it seem like Drive Me Crazy is teary, but really. They go to haunted hotels, Carhenge, and a get a tour of a brothel museum from an octogenarian working girl. It’s my usual beach-read banter. Come to think of it, I could use a book like that right now.
