For me personally, it’s all about the knights and their bonds as men, as
warriors, and as brothers. There’s something very sacred about it, something
that transcends blood or friendship. It’s the core of who, and what, they
are. It’s the Band of Brothers
mentality.
Medieval knights went through some changes in the 366 years
considered the High Middle Ages. From coats of mail and leather armor to plate
armor of tempered steel, better swords, better general equipment, and to
finally the introduction of gunpowder and firearms. That’s where Medieval
becomes something else because a knight on horseback is no match for a cannon.

Those terms were born from a bond between brothers, blood or otherwise.
The passage from Henry V that contains the phrase, Band of
Brothers, truly embodies these men I have worked so hard to do justice to:
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember’d;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother.

Hi Kathryn! Love the quote on the "Band of Brothers". Medieval England was a challenging time. Knowing who you could count on, your fellow knights, must have made a difficult time easier...or perhaps just less challenging.
