Must Love Dogs? Sarah Raplee, Paranormal Romance Writer

My name is Sarah Raplee, and I write romance fiction. They say that admitting the problem is the first step to recovery, but I like being hooked on writing. I’m one of the founders (aka Queens) of Romancing the Genres, along with Judith Ashley.

Terri's in the House

Okay, that was lame. =)

Hi! Welcome to my first post. I’m so happy to see you. My name is Terri Molina and I would be the shy one of the group. (yeah I hear your guffaws and see the eye rolls…but it’s true.)

I’m really excited to be a part of Romancing the Genres, Judith and Sarah have done an awesome job with the place and I’m looking forward to interacting with you all each month.

A bit about me, cuz that’s why you’re here, right? ;-) I’m a mix of Mexican (my mother) and Honduran (my father) and I’m originally from SE Texas--and here's a trivia question for you-- my town’s claim to fame is it’s the hometown of Janis Joplin (and for you sports fans, former Dallas Cowboy head coach, Jimmy Johnson)--can you name the town? Anyway, I grew up with six brothers and sisters and a town full of aunts, uncles and cousins…who are the inspirations for my books. I write a variety of sub-genres, from contemporary to suspense to mainstream…sometimes they’ll even contains elements of the supernatural. The common link in my stories is that they each take place in Texas, mostly the Rio Grande Valley because my main characters are Hispanic.

Meet Tam Linsey

My name is Tam Linsey, and I was the kid who took AP Chemistry and AP Biology my senior year of High School. I won a scholarship to a DOE camp at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, toured the superconducting supercollider, karyotyped DNA from the HIV virus (I know, your eyes are crossing, right?) and then …
… realized if I pursued biomedical engineering like I planned, I might never see the outside of a lab again.

So I got a Bachelor of SCIENCE in … English. What a bunch of B.S. (kidding! I totally value my college days.) I never thought I'd write science fiction, however, until I caught myself reading scientific papers online - for fun. My imagination ran wild. Why not put my English degree to good use?

Welcoming an Emerging Steampunk Romance Author

Good day Ladies and Gentlemen. I am so glad to be here. Please let me take a few words to introduce myself to you. My name is Mae Pen and I write Steampunk Romance, a sub genre I adore and submerge myself in frequently.

Welcome Everyone!

I am so happy we've finally launched RTG into the Internet. While everyone may read romance not everyone reads the same genre. Here you may find an author you already love, or one you fall in love with. or be tempted to discover a genre you've never read before.

My name is Elaine Charton and I live in Arizona. The land of cactus, the Grand Canyon, fantastic Mexican food and Cowboys. One of my favorite places and one we like to take visitors to see is the town of Tombstone, home of Doc Holliday, the Earp brothers and the infamous OK Corral.

I grew up surrounded by brothers and being in the minority I usually had to watch what they wanted. Shows with cops, robbers and cowboys and if I didn't like the way they ended, and I usually didn't, I changed the endings. Because no matter how gory, deadly, ugly the world in my books, there must be a happy ending. When it's my book, I can be sure that happens.

I write Romantic suspense and Paranormal Romance.
